I purposely made an exception to get some reaction from the Stefanik camp to the news that Cobb seeks a potential rematch. I also think his remarks were illustrative of how the Stefanik campaign was run.

It is school budget season and we are writing about the spending plans. I covered the Fort Edward school board meeting to learn about their shared services study and they also adopted the budget. I wrote stories based upon the meeting and the materials handed out.

The tax rate increase would be over 30 percent if the tentative assessment of the property in the district holds at $112 million.

Retention in the past has been a problem. Officers seem to leave to go to the Warren County Sheriff's Office or State Police. This recent group has stuck around - for now.

We reported on the state audits thoroughly. Evelyn Wood resigned of her own free will.

Any indication why these people left? More money? Better support?

Most of the superintendents in the 31-district BOCES were at this breakfast meeting, and members of school boards as well.
