ITHACA — Queensbury junior Megan Cook placed seventh overall, with 475.15 points, in the diving finals Friday at the State Girls Swimming and Diving Championships at Ithaca College.
It’s a career-best finish for Cook, a three-time state meet competitor.
In the swimming preliminaries, Glens Falls senior Mia Cote finished seventh overall (sixth among public schools) in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.53 seconds, qualifying for the “A” final on Saturday.

Cote also was 21st overall in the 200 individual medley in 2:10.43.
Glens Falls’ 200 freestyle relay team of Adara Hoyne, Ella Wolfstich, Kailyn Anselment and Cote placed 17th overall with a time of 1:40.43. The same foursome finished 28th overall in the 400 free relay in 3:43.61.
