GLENS FALLS — It was a close game, but the Glens Falls Dragons couldn’t get another run when they needed it and lost to Saugerties 7-6 in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game at East Field on Saturday.

Trailing 7-6, the Dragons started the bottom of the ninth with singles by Danny Ryan and Matt Hamel. Anthony Vaglica walked with one out to load the bases, but the Stallions got the last two batters for the win.

Number nine batter Herman Alvarado had two doubles and two RBIs for Saugerties (20-15).

Ryan went 3 for 5 with an RBI for the Dragons (13-20), who struck out nine times. Phoenix Hernandez, Brian Hart, Hamel and Vaglica each had two hits, while Zach Fritz drove in three runs.
