ESTERO, Fla. — Things started well, but didn’t end that way.

Adirondack got on the scoreboard first, but Florida took control from then on in a 3-1 ECHL win Wednesday.

The Thunder score came at 12:10 of the first period when James Henry found John Edwardh for his 16th goal of the season. It extended Edwardh’s point streak to seven games.

Blake Winiecki tied it early in the second period before Tommy Thompson scored the go-ahead goal on a wraparound at 10:33 of the second.

Steven Lorentz’s deflection in the third accounted for Florida’s last goal.

Evan Cormier made 24 saves for the Thunder, who play at Florida again Friday in the middle game of a three-game series.
