ROCKFORD, Illinois -- The Adirondack Flames were shut out for the fourth time of the season on Saturday. Rockford beat Adirondack 4-0.

The IceHogs scored three goals in the second period and the Flames could not crack Rockford goaltender Antti Raanta.

The Flames had four power-play opportunities and put a total of 26 shots on goal in the game.

Brad Thiessen made 25 saves on 28 shots for Adirondack.

Adirondack gets another chance at Rockford at the Civic Center on Sunday.

The Flames dropped to 10th place in the Western Conference with the loss. They travel to Grand Rapids on Sunday. The Griffins won the pair’s only prior matchup, 6-1 on Nov. 29.

Earlier on Saturday, the Flames announced they had signed forward Cam Reid out of the ECHL and Oleg Yevenko out of UMass. Reid, who had 59 points in 59 ECHL games played Saturday night. Yevenko will join the team at a later point.
