SCHENECTADY — Queensbury crowned two champions as the Spartans finished second in the Schenectady Patriot Invitational, held Sunday at Schenectady High School.

Queensbury's Ryan Sleezer (106 pounds) and Dom Nassivera (182) won titles, and teammate Nico Mattia (195) placed second. Sleezer defeated Ravena's Austin Delisle 11-3 in the finals, while Nassivera topped Mohonasen's Matt Miller 12-3. Mattia lost by fall to Cobleskill's Jeff Crooks.

Dylan Sleezer (113) took third for Queensbury, while Trevor Robbins (120) and Seth Guay (220) finished fourth.

Other local runners-up included Hadley-Luzerne/Lake George's Will Mitcham (285) and Salem-Cambridge's David McFarland (152).

The Spartans finished with 131 team points to take second behind Averill Park, which won the team title with 155. Salem-Cambridge and H-L/LG placed 17th and 18th, respectively, in the 21-team tournament, with 59 and 56 points.
