Qby state semifinal

The Queensbury boys soccer team poses for a photo following its 2-1 loss to Somers in a Class A semifinal of the State Boys Soccer Tournament on Saturday at Mount Saint Mary College.

Queensbury teammates Ray Jones and Teddy Borgos each earned all-state honors, while Spartans coach Pete Crotty was named New York State's Coach of the Year. 

Borgos was named to the fifth team, and Jones earned a second-team honor. Jones was also named an all-region player.

Crotty has won more than 300 career games, including a 19-2 overall record and a state semifinal berth this year.

On the all-state small school team, Lake George's Kagan Helms was named to the fifth team while teammates Ethan Knauf and Alex Leonelli each made the fourth team.
