WOODBURY, Minn. — Competing in the American Family Insurance High School 3-point shooting contest as part of the NCAA Final Four weekend, Joseph Girard III finished fourth, scoring 13 points in the first round and 19 in the second.
His first-round score held him out of the finals despite his second-round score being the second-highest in the field of eight sharpshooters.
Girard was invited to participate in the competition held at East Ridge High School in Woodbury, Minnesota as part of the week festivities.
He competed along side future Syracuse teammate Brycen Goodine as well.
The event, which included a slam dunk contest also, was taped and will air for the first time on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
