GLENS FALLS — The Glens Falls boys basketball team not only set out to clinch the Foothills Council title Tuesday, but the Indians were determined to go about it the right way.

The Indians (16-2 league, 18-2 overall) outscored South Glens Falls 25-5 in the first quarter en route to a 99-55 win. Joseph Girard scored a game-high 44 points to lead three Indians in double figures. Brendan Quirk added 17, while Trent Girard scored 15.

“We were mature enough to not look at their record and look past them,” Glens Falls coach Rob Girard said. “Our defense was solid and Joe got everybody involved.

Cam Becerril led the Bulldogs with 15.
