GLENS FALLS — Joseph Girard III reached the 3,000-point mark on Saturday as part of Glens Falls’ 86-60 boys basketball victory over Scotia during the Sunmark Shootout at Cool Insuring Arena.

Girard finished with 50 points as the Indians avenged a loss to Scotia earlier in the year.

Justin Holness added 14 points as Glens Falls kept its hold on first place in the Foothills Council with a 13-2 record. The Indians host second-place Queensbury (12-3) on Tuesday.

Girard reached the 3,000 mark in the fourth quarter. The 50-point game pushed his state-record career total to 3,002.

Christian Corker led Scotia with a 40-point game.
