GEROLA ALTA, Italy — Glens Falls native Megan Guarnier finished fourth in the sixth stage of the Giro Rosa 2018 women's professional bicycle race on Wednesday.

The 70.9-mile stage was highlighted by an uphill finish. Guarnier was 32 seconds behind winner Amanda Spratt. 

"The pace was high throughout the entire stage," Guarnier said in a Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team release. "The team has worked hard again to bring me as fresh as possible to the climb."

Guarnier is eighth overall, 1 minute, 49 seconds behind leader Spratt. There are four more stages.
