MIDDLETOWN — The Glens Falls Greenjackets suffered their first loss of the Empire Football League season on Sunday, falling 44-0 to the Hudson Valley Mountaineers.

Turnovers, penalties and poor special teams play hurt the Jackets (2-1) during the game and gave Hudson Valley good field position throughout.

Zach Infield started at quarterback, going 7 for 13 while passing for 96 yards and an interception before being injured. Jeff Dorvee led the receivers with four catches for 68 yards. Quentin Austin and Tony DeLoatch were held to a combined 56 yards on the ground.

The Jackets were flagged for 75 yards in penalties.

Glens Falls is scheduled to play Saturday at 7 p.m. at Plattsburgh.
