The Empire Football League will celebrate its 50th anniversary season in 2019, and the Glens Falls Greenjackets continue to be a part of the league.

Six teams make up the league this season, with the Watertown Red & Black returning and the new Mohawk Valley Nighthawks of Utica joining the Greenjackets, Plattsburgh North Stars, Tri-City Spartans and Seaway Valley Venom. Last year's champions, the Hudson Valley Mountaineers, moved to Major League Football this season.

The EFL season is scheduled to kick off on July 13, with a bye for Labor Day weekend, and conclude on Sept. 21. Semifinal playoffs are Sept. 28, with the EFL championship game on Oct. 5.
