LITTLE FALLS — The Glens Falls Dragons suffered their third straight PGCBL loss on the road Wednesday night with a 7-5 setback against Mohawk Valley.

In a game that saw all but one run scored in the first three innings, the Dragons could not solve three Mohawk Valley relievers over the final six innings. The Diamond Dawgs seized a 5-2 lead in the first inning and held off Glens Falls the rest of the way.

Glens Falls (3-6) outhit Mohawk Valley 12-4 in the game, but only had three hits over the final six innings, including a double and single by Mark Powell. The Diamond Dawgs took advantage of nine walks.

Dan Lowndes singled home a pair of runs to get the Dragons started in the first inning, then Powell drove in a run and Ryan Beamish added a sac fly to pull Glens Falls within 5-4. Jared Drizin added an RBI double in the third for the Dragons’ final run.

On Thursday at 7 p.m., the Dragons return to East Field to host a Utica Blue Sox club that is on a six-game losing streak.
