Kevin Crossman of Glens Falls and Cathy Stanilka of Lake George were among those named coaches of the year for the 2015-16 season by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association on Tuesday.
The NYSPHSAA honored one coach state-wide in each sport for the school year.
Stanilka retired following the 2015 season after 40 years as a volleyball coach. She left with 658 career wins and a state title in 2001. She was also named a regional coach of the year.
Crossman, who runs both boys and girls swimming programs at Glens Falls, was named coach of the year in boys swimming. The Indians set three school records on the way to the Division II, Section II title last year.
