Glens Falls sophomore forward Sophie Tougas was recently named the Most Valuable Player in Foothills Council girls basketball.

Chosen for the all-Foothills first team were Glens Falls' Lucy Tougas, Hudson Falls' Naesha Kelley, Amsterdam's Nina Fedullo, Gloversville's Harmony Philo and Scotia's Caitlin Estes.

Named to the Foothills Council North Division first team were the Glens Falls trio of Sophie and Lucy Tougas and Taylor Scarincio, along with Kelley and Schuylerville's Emily Vallee. The South Division first team includes Amsterdam's Fedullo and Giuliana Pritchard, Estes, Philo and a tie between Gloversville's Kerri Hauser and Johnstown's Claire Guzielek.

The Foothills Council all-senior team, which defeated the Colonial Council in the annual exceptional seniors game Thursday, consisted of Glens Falls' Lucy Tougas, Hudson Falls' Maddie Akins and Sophie Lebrun, South Glens Falls' Claire Carpenter, Queensbury's Emma Hayes, Schuylerville's Callie Beck, Broadalbin-Perth's Isabella Magliocca, Scotia's Caitlin Estes, Johnstown's Claire Guzielek and Chelsea Cirillo, and Amsterdam's Nina Fedullo, Brady Santiago and Maria Lomanto.
