I continue to read with wonder, then amusement and then outright laughter, about Elise Stefanik’s Democratic opponent. First she tells folks she cannot tell people how she feels about assault weapons to get elected. Second she calls a press conference where she said she would address the “trackers” but never did. At her press conference she spoke about the children and education and truth. I wondered how she could educate our children by admitting she couldn’t say how she really felt and get elected while being recorded. Being recorded is not the real issue, willing to lie to potential constituents is. I fail to comprehend this Democratic candidate who thinks Democrats don’t use trackers, speak to the press saying she doesn’t need the DNCC to give her advice, lie about her feelings of gun control, continue to change staff because of what they may have said and only seeks counsel from herself. Her bubble will burst when the votes are in. No one wants a candidate whom they cannot figure out.

I really thought fake news happened when I read her comments on soap operas being the tool to educate women and curb population in developing countries. Would we really send her to another country to represent us with that thought? In her latest press conference the self-counseling part really hit home when she said she would review everything with “her values,” then vote. So she would represent no constituent’s ideas based on their values, North Country values, USA or military values? When you take on a congressional position you represent me and every person in the 21st District by listening to everyone’s values and voting for the betterment of “our” values and “our” district, not just yours. Stick with Elise Stefanik, no need to fix what isn’t broke.
