I have been reading in the paper and hearing on the news lately that people are constantly saying that new gun laws won't help anything. How in the world would you know that? We haven't been able to pass the common sense laws yet! What are people afraid of? That these new laws might actually work? I also keep hearing how taking away the right to own and bear arms isn't the answer. Well, that's also not the intention of lawmakers. No one is talking about taking people's guns away. No one. They are talking about banning one type of gun, the "gun of choice" for mass murderers. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some people think, for whatever reason, that if three or four people try to break into their home, that they need a military-style weapon to protect themselves. First of all, I'd say the odds of that happening are minimal, but not unheard of. Second, I think that if you had a single or double shot shotgun, one blast at the first person in will definitely be a determent to the others behind him! You will definitely ruin their day!
