Over the last two years, President Trump and the Republican Party have attacked immigrants, minority groups, women, anyone who is at all "different" than they are or who has different views. They have fueled hatred in this country that is reprehensible.
The second paragraph of the United States Declaration of Independence starts as follows: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
President Trump says he wants to "make America great again." To do this we must end the hatred, embrace each other, and recognize our fellow countrymen as Americans, not by race, religion or ethnicity! We must support immigrants as they pursue happiness in our country; they are only trying to ensure the safety of their families and offer a better life for them. Isn’t that what we all want for our children? How can it be wrong to want to keep your family safe from corrupt governments, drug cartels and violence? I would want to; wouldn’t you? Furthermore, there is no place in America for white nationalists or any person or group that wishes to divide this great country! We are all Americans!
I plead for all Americans to work together to end the division and violence that has swept over our great nation, for “united we stand, divided we fall.” I implore you all to work side by side with our fellow Americans, embrace each other and treat each other with respect and kindness. We all have our differences; but more importantly, we all have one thing in common … we are all Americans!
