I have often remarked about the importance of our local government officials and the impact they have on our daily lives.
These state officials representing our districts attend our meetings, parades, memorial services, groundbreaking ceremonies and benefit dinners. We can talk to them in the diner or supermarket, call them personally on the phone, sit with them at a ball game or stop by their office. They live here locally, shop here and raise their families in our schools. They truly care about the people who are their neighbors and the places and services they depend on daily!
No one person has contributed more to our quality of life than Sen. Betty O’C. Little. She has fought for and delivered funding to preserve our great lake; been our voice in Albany for tourism; helped make the Civic Center a success and cared for our senior citizens. She is our neighbor, friend and voice in Albany.
On my many trips to Albany over the last several years, representatives on both sides of the aisle have praised her work on behalf of the North Country. Sen. Little is an experienced, respected and a dedicated representative of our region and deserves our support in November.
