As the madness of King Donald turns the White House historically dysfunctional and a frightening chaos rules the day, every Republican member of Congress needs to decide whether to be a partner in the nuclear destruction of the world or to stand up and push back against the man his own secretary of state calls a moron. Also, the same Republican Party that used to rage against the ever-increasing national debt now praises their “Dear Leader” with unmeasurable sycophancy as they line their own pockets and those of their billionaire sugar daddies and (not to forget Rebekah Mercer) mamas, even as they continually corrupt the democratic system through phony charitable “educational” organizations, all the while taking huge tax deductions, leaving the rest of us to pay the bills. (Jane Mayer’s book “Dark Money” is a must read for anyone who wants to know about this massive political and financial scam.)

Starting with our own Elise Stefanik, every sane-minded Republican needs to say aloud “enough is enough” or take their full share of guilt when this whole mess collapses with unthinkable consequences. It is time for everyone to put country before party and self-dealing. It is also time for all of us to speak up any way we can. Many small voices can become one very loud call to action.
