The purchase of a large parcel of land on Bloody Pond Road French Mountain and the purchase of three acres on Birch Avenue, I don’t think it was in the town budget. I have a hard time understanding how five people, supervisor and board members, just go and spend the money without taxpayers’ vote. The potential of doing anything to these parcels could cost a large amount of money, when there’s very little surplus money.
They took the potential of developing and receiving more tax money to none. It’s like they don’t want the town of Lake George to grow. They’re stopping the growth with these purchases of the land.
