While we don’t yet know why some cancer rates are higher in Warren County, we do know that certain screenings can prevent cancer or find cancer early, when it may be easier to treat. The CSP of Warren, Washington and Hamilton counties offers free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings to eligible individuals in New York state. To learn more, call 518-926-6570.

Incident rates vs. NYS average:

Breast cancer: The incidence rate of breast cancer in Warren County is above the average NYS rate, while the incidence rates of breast cancer in Brooklyn and Queens Counties are below the average NYS rate.

Cervical cancer: The incidence rate of cervical cancer in Warren County is below the average NYS rate, while the incidence rates of cervical cancer in Brooklyn and Queens Counties are above the average NYS rate.

Colorectal cancer: The incidence rate of colorectal cancer in Warren County is above the average NYS rate. The incidence rates of colorectal cancer in Brooklyn and Queens Counties are also above the average NYS rate.
