It’s time to cast a vote for Tedra Cobb. Neighbors, we need Tedra Cobb in Washington. She clearly listens. She’s an activist. She speaks up on critical issues. She’s not owned by mega-millionaire donors, as is our current representative. I speak as a longtime dairy farmer and businessman. For the last four years my dairy farmer friends and I have faced very depressed market prices. We developed much-needed access to export markets. Then along came our president slapping tariffs on our best markets, Canada, Mexico and China. They responded with tariffs on milk, corn and soybeans. That resulted in the loss of access to the markets we desperately need.
Sadly, we’ve been sacrificed. Oh, much has been made about a $12 billion bailout funded by taxpayers. Little of that will be seen by our dairy farmers. Much more has been made about renegotiated trade deals with the affected countries. The truth is that none of those deals are finalized! That’s right, none! As I said, we need an activist, and Tedra Cobb is it! She’s one of us. She understands us and lives here! She’s not owned by big money.
Opportunities exist for administrative action within USDA. Our representative remains silent! Tedra will speak out for us. She’s a doer. She doesn’t hide behind an office door organizing meetings with only a chosen few.
Step up and vote for Tedra. Remember she is our own. I’ve talked at length with her about our challenges and their solutions. She understands and stands ready to go to work immediately for us. Tedra understands. Tedra is ours.
Vote for Tedra. Tell your friends to help our farming industry. Tell them to vote for Tedra.
Your friend and neighbor,
Ed King, Schuylerville
