I am past disappointment in The Post-Star! First, I was very sad and then I was outraged!
Reading the editorial page from Friday, Nov. 17, where the cartoon depicted a disgusting topic, using Christ's manger as the background, left me wondering how far down we have gone as a nation that anyone would think the cartoon was funny or needed to be printed?
With the Christmas season right around the corner, millions of Christians around the world are getting ready to celebrate this most holy time. The birth of our Savior in a manger wasn't an accident but planned by God himself so that mankind can know how much he loves them.
Yes, I am aware of free speech, differences of opinion, and my freedom not to read the editorial page. That causes me to wonder — editor, did you have a choice to put it in the paper or not? This also causes me to wonder, as a long time subscriber, do I really want to continue? I'll see.
