FORT EDWARD — A Ticonderoga woman who was arrested for driving impaired by drugs with a child while on her way to a court appearance for a prior drunken driving arrest is headed to state prison for violating probation.

Sandy L. Keech, 47, pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated for a January 2017 arrest that occurred in the town of Dresden, as she was going to court for a misdemeanor DWI arrest that took place 12 days earlier. The second charge was a felony because she drove with an 8-year-old child in the vehicle.

Keech was sentenced to 6 months in Washington County Jail and 5 years on probation after her pleas to two charges in July 2017, but she violated probation and faces 1 to 3 years in state prison for that violation, records show.
