A home on Chamberlain Mills Road was damaged by fire late Tuesday, leaving two people homeless.

Firefighters from numerous volunteer departments responded to the call around 11 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Two people who lived in the home were camping overnight and were not home at the time.

Washington County fire Investigator Floyd Pratt said the fire’s cause remained under investigation on Wednesday. There was no indication it was suspicious, he said.
