LAKE GEORGE — Three people were arrested, two of them on felony drug charges, after a traffic stop Saturday led to the seizure of cocaine, police records show.
State Police pulled the vehicle over around 12:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 23, the agency's public information website showed.
Two of the occupants were charged with felony drug possession counts and the third with a misdemeanor drug charge, records show.
Sam R. Boiani, 55, of Lewis, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and two misdemeanor drug-related counts; while Melissa Chaplin, 44, of Albany, was charged with felony fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts for possessing a hypodermic instrument and possession of a controlled substance, the website showed.
John C. Waterson, 47, of Albany, was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to the website.
Boiani was arraigned and sent to Warren County Jail, while Chaplin and Waterson were released, pending prosecution in Lake George Town Court.
