Carpenter

WARRENSBURG — A Thurman man was arrested Wednesday after fleeing the scene of a one-vehicle rollover crash in Warrensburg.

Jamie S. Carpenter was found a short time after fleeing the crash, which occurred at around 2:47 on Third Avenue. Investigation determined that Carpenter, the operator of the vehicle, was intoxicated, and he refused to submit to a chemical breath test, according to a press release from the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

Carpenter was charged with felony DWI. The charge was upgraded to a felony due to a prior DWI conviction in 2008. He was placed in Warren County Police lockup pending arraignment in Warrensburg Town Court.

Patrol Officer J.C. Kearns made the arrest.
