State Police used an underage volunteer to check 19 businesses in southern Washington County to see if they would sell alcohol to the minor on Wednesday, and all passed the test.

The sting was part of an ongoing State Police effort around the state, in which troopers work with a person under 21 who tries to purchase alcohol from stores or bars under police observation.

Stores in the Greenwich and Cambridge areas were checked Wednesday.
