A winter storm will bring a mixed bag of snow, sleet and rain late Saturday and for part of Sunday.

The Glens Falls area will likely see heavy snow for several hours Saturday night before warmer temperatures move in and the precipitation turns to rain.

Bruan Frugis, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Albany, said 2 to 4 inches of snow (updated) is likely in the southern Adirondacks before snow turns to sleet and rain. Rain is likely Sunday morning before the storm pulls out Sunday afternoon.

Areas to the north and east will likely see more ice on top of the snow, Frugis said.
