CORINTH — A Level 3 sex offender was jailed Tuesday after police determined he moved but did not register his new address with police or state officials, authorities said.

John F. Young, 52, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender, a felony, after an investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, the agency said in a news release.

The state sex offender registry lists him as homeless, but police said he was found to be living in an unspecified home in Corinth.

Young was arraigned and sent to Saratoga County jail for lack of bail.

He is a registered sex offender because of a 2001 felony attempted sexual abuse conviction.
