Saratoga & North Creek Railway will restart its snow train Saturday, but will run abbreviated trips at a lower cost because of ice on the tracks in Thurman.
The trip will run from Saratoga Springs to Thurman and back, instead of to North Creek. The run will last three hours instead of five and will leave the Saratoga Springs station each Saturday at 1, through March.
SNCR has reduced the ticket prices for the shorter trip, but it does include a trip over the picturesque Hadley trestle.
Diamond Class tickets feature booth seating in a full-length dome car will cost $26 per adult and $16 per child. Standard Class seating will run $17 per adult and $7 per child.
Ice from Hudson River ice jams has blocked the track in places, resulting in several weekends of train trips being scuttled in January.
