MOREAU — The woman who crashed into an oversized trailer will survive, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.
Arica Mabb, 29, of Queensbury, was flown to Albany Medical Center Hospital Tuesday with serious injuries.
The Sheriff's Office learned that she will have "protracted injuries" but will pull through. She has serious lower leg injuries.
Officers took measurements for accident reconstruction and took samples for toxicology tests. But they don’t anticipate any criminal charges.
The company moving the oversized load, RJ Mobile Transport of Wade, North Carolina, had all the proper permits and two warning vehicles — one more than required, according to the Sheriff's Office. The company had one warning vehicle in front of the oversized load and one behind it.
The driver of the trailer, Timothy Morgan, was not injured in the crash, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on Route 197 in Moreau. Mabb crashed into the oversized load, which was traveling in the opposite direction, near West River Road. She was trapped in her sedan after the crash.
