GLENS FALLS — A Queensbury man faces two felonies after he was pulled over while driving drunk in a stolen car early Saturday, police said.

Joshua D. Copeland, 30, was stopped for speeding on Sherman Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. when police determined he was not only intoxicated, but the Kia sedan he was driving had been reported stolen, police said.

He was charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property for the vehicle, and felony driving while intoxicated because he has at least one prior DWI conviction, police said.

Copeland also had the prescription drug Xanax without a prescription, leading to a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of stolen property for taking possession of items in the vehicle, records show.

He was arraigned and sent to Warren County Jail for lack of bail.

Glens Falls Police Officer Marc Barrett made the arrest.
