One person was hurt during this collision on Quaker Road in Queensbury on Wednesday.

QUEENSBURY — One person was hurt when a dump truck pulling a trailer collided with a car on Quaker Road on Wednesday afternoon.

One lane of Quaker Road was closed after the crash happened just before 2 p.m. near the intersection with Dix Avenue.

The dump truck appeared to have exited the parking lot of the Speedway store into the path of an eastbound sedan, injuring the sedan’s driver. The injuries did not appear serious at the scene, but the man was taken to Glens Falls Hospital.

Significant traffic backups occurred in the area as the crash was cleared.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation, assisted at the scene by South Queensbury firefighters and Bay Ridge Rescue Squad.
