EASTON — A driver was being removed for transport to a hospital following a crash Wednesday, according to a Post-Star freelance photographer on the scene.

The crash occurred at around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Route 40 and Route 29 in Easton, near Country Power Equipment. 

The driver was pinned in the front seat of the vehicle and had to be freed by firemen using an extraction device.

Respondents on the scene included Middle Falls Fire Department, Greenwich Fire Department and Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad. The cause of the crash was under investigation Wednesday by Washington County Sheriff's Department.
