Oleynek makes the fall President’s List

CORTLAND — Matt Oleynek of Queensbury has been named to the President’s List for the fall 2018 semester at SUNY Cortland. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must be full time and have earned at least an A- in all courses. Oleynek is a business economics major.

Purchase College releases Dean’s List

PURCHASE — Purchase College announced that more than 1,200 students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and taken a minimum of 12 credits. Local students include:

CORTLAND — Students have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester at SUNY Cortland. Local students include:

JMU announces fall 2018 Dean’s List

HARRISONBURG, Va. — James Madison University announced that students made the Dean’s List for the fall 2018 session. Students who earn Dean’s List honors must be considered by the registrar to be carrying a full-time course load of graded credit hours and earn a grade point average of between 3.5 and 3.899. Local students include:

  • Morgan Baker of Corinth;
  • Hunter Heiges of South Glens Falls; and
  • Sarah Prevost of Glens Falls.

SUNY GCC releases its Provost’s List

BATAVIA — Students from Genesee Community College have been named to the Provost’s List. Students honored on the Provost’s List have maintained part-time enrollment and earned a quality point index of 3.75 (roughly equivalent to an A) or better. Local students include:

  • Alisha MacFarlane of Queensbury; and
  • Willow Hogan of Johnsburg.

At Emmanuel, Claus makes Dean’s List

BOSTON — Lillian Claus of Gansevoort has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester at Emmanuel College in Boston. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Students placed on U of Hartford list

WEST HARTFORD, Ct. — The University of Hartford announced that students have been named to the Dean’s List for fall 2018. Local students include:

  • John Case of Argyle; and
  • Lydia Martin of Victory Mills.

Ripley makes fall list at Northeastern

BOSTON — Katelyn Ripley of Queensbury has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester at Northeastern University. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, a student must have a 3.5 or higher grade point average. Ripley is the daughter of Mark and Jackie Ripley.

Ellis lands on two SUNY Cortland lists

CORTLAND — Jaynie Ellis of Lake Luzerne has been named to both the Dean’s List and President’s List for the fall 2018 semester at SUNY Cortland. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must be full time and have earned at least an A- in all courses. Ellis is majoring in communications with a concentration in journalism.

Blood named to Bates Dean’s List

LEWISTON, Maine — Eliza Blood of Queensbury was named to the Dean’s List at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2018. This is a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.77 or higher. Blood, the daughter of William M. Blood and Suzanne M. Blood, is a 2017 graduate of Queensbury High School. She is a sophomore at Bates majoring in environmental studies.
