FORT EDWARD — A Moreau man who sold prescription drugs during a police investigation last year faces jail and probation under the terms of a plea deal.

Larry W. Sweet Jr., 39, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, in connection with a multi-agency investigation that led to his arrest last October.

Police said Sweet sold the prescription drug Suboxone, which is used by opioid addicts.

Sweet likely faces 6 months in Washington County Jail and 5 years on probation when sentenced March 29 by Washington County Judge Kelly McKeighan. He also will have to make $300 restitution for the money he was given for drugs during the sales he made.
