QUEENSBURY — A Schenectady man who led a drug ring that police alleged sold heroin and cocaine from a Glens Falls home last spring is headed to prison for 4 years.

Tru S. Garland, 23, pleaded guilty to two felony charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in connection with the seizure of drugs from a home on Cherry Street last March.

Garland and two other men were at the home when a resident called police to report an unwanted person there. Glens Falls Police responded and found drugs and paraphernalia, seizing 20 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of heroin and more than $3,000 in cash.

Garland will spend 2 years on parole after his release from prison.

An 18-year-old man who was with Garland pleaded guilty and was sentenced to jail and probation, and granted youthful offender status. Charges are pending against the third suspect.
