QUEENSBURY — A Queensbury man who repeatedly violated an order of protection in Glens Falls while on probation in Vermont for the same type of offense is headed to prison for up to 4 years.

Keith R. Carney, 50, was put on probation in March for his guilty pleas to two felony counts of criminal contempt. The charges stemmed from arrests in Glens Falls in May 2017 and November 2017.

Those arrests occurred while he was on probation for a similar offense in Bennington County, Vermont.

His probation in Warren County lasted fewer than 6 months though, as he was accused of violating the probation and was jailed earlier this summer.

Warren County Judge John Hall sentenced him to 2 to 4 years in state prison on the charges.
