FORT EDWARD — A Hudson Falls man has been sentenced to state prison for his guilty plea earlier this year to a felony for illegal sales of prescription drugs.
Michael D. Bentley, 27, of Main Street, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance in connection with his arrest last October during a drug investigation by several local police agencies. He was one of three people arrested during the sweep that targeted those who sold drugs in the Hudson Falls area.
Washington County Judge Kelly McKeighan sentenced him to 1 1/2 years in prison and 1 year on parole as part of a plea deal.
Charges are still pending against the two other defendants.
The cases were investigated by the sheriff's offices from Washington and Warren counties, Hudson Falls Police, Glens Falls Police and Washington County Probation Department.
