FORT EDWARD — A Hudson Falls teen who was arrested last December for selling cocaine is headed to state prison for 3 years after his guilty plea to a felony.
Kade D. LaPointe, 19, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, for cocaine sales in Washington County last year. He was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff's Office in December, his third felony arrest in 20 months.
He agreed to a plea deal that includes a 3-year sentence in state prison to be followed by 2 years on parole when he is sentenced by Washington County Judge Kelly McKeighan.
LaPointe was arrested on a felony assault charge last month in Moreau that is still pending in Saratoga County, and felony criminal sexual act last year for an alleged sexual assault of a person in Kingsbury who did not consent, prior media reports show. The disposition of that charge was not available.
He also was charged with driving while intoxicated after a 2017 crash in Argyle.
