FORT EDWARD — A Hudson Falls man who was scheduled to be sentenced Friday for a felony conviction instead is believed to have fled the state.
Brandon T. Lord, 22, pleaded guilty earlier this year in Washington County Court to aggravated family offense for a Nov. 18 arrest in Hudson Falls. He was accused of violating an order of protection by having contact with a woman who had a no-contact order of protection.
He was scheduled to be sentenced to a jail term Friday, but instead did not show up for court. Washington County Judge Kelly McKeighan was told by the county Probation Department that he had apparently fled the state.
McKeighan issued a warrant for his arrest.
