BALLSTON SPA — A Glens Falls man who was arrested last year for repeated sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl and for filming the sexual assaults was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in state prison.

Kevin A. Fisher, 44, of Thornberry Drive, pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree criminal sexual act in Saratoga County Court for a series of sexual assaults of the girl in Saratoga County last spring.

Saratoga County Judge James Murphy imposed a sentence of 15 years in state prison, to be followed by up to 20 years on parole.

The charges stem from an alleged sexual relationship Fisher had with a girl in Halfmoon whom he had met through social media, police said.

He was arrested by State Police from the Clifton Park station in May, after the girl’s family members became suspicious of her activity.

Police said Fisher used social media to communicate with the child and then drove to her home to pick her up for sexual encounters.
