BRUNSWICK — Communications Workers of America endorsed Democrat Aaron Gladd on Monday for the 43rd state Senate District, the Gladd campaign announced in a press release.

The CWA is the largest telecommunications union, as it represents 700,000 workers across North America, the release stated. CWA District 1 is in the Capital Region.

“We know that Aaron Gladd is the candidate voters need to choose in District 43 that will be able to get things done that are in the best interests of workers,” CWA District 1 Vice President Dennis Trainor said. “Aaron Gladd’s record of public service and government experience make him the right choice to represent communications workers in the district and across the state. We know he’ll be a strong supporter to working families and the unions that represent them.”

Election Day is Nov. 6. Gladd is running against Republican Daphne Jordan of Halfmoon. Sen. Kathy Marchione is not running for re-election for her seat.

The 43rd Senate District covers a region from South Glens Falls to Saratoga Springs and farther south to Hudson. The district runs east of the cities of Albany and Troy.
