LAKE GEORGE — The town will hold a public workshop on Monday to present the findings of its septic initiative program.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. There will be a short presentation on the report and the mapping of septic systems.

The town has been working with the Fund for Lake George to collect data about water quality in the area, the age of septic systems and whether they have been inspected. That information is being put together into a map to find problem areas, which the town can prioritize.

The survey map was funded with a $104,000 DEC grant, and the state is looking to use it as a model.

Residents are encouraged to attend to learn about the outcome of the initiative and the next steps.
