EASTON — State Agriculture Commissioner Richard Ball is embarking on a listening tour and will be making a stop Friday at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The listening session is set for 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the administrative building and will be hosted by Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, D-Round Lake.

The tour is meant to provide Ball with an opportunity to engage with and hear from constituents about the 2018 Farm Bill.

Areas to be discussed include dairy, land conservation, industrial hemp, state and private forestry programs, Environmental Quality Incentives Program, invasive species, food safety, SNAP and others.

The Farm Bill expires at the end of 2018.
