State Police are reporting a suspicious death on Wednesday at Crest Inn Suites & Cottages in Wilton. The location is also the business address for Prestige Limousine service which was involved in Saturday's fatal crash in Schoharie, that killed 20 people owned by Shahed Hussain.

WILTON — A large police presence remained Friday at the Wilton motel where a man was found dead earlier this week as the investigation into how the man died continued.

State Police have termed the death suspicious, but have not identified the man who was found at Crest Inn Suites & Cottages on Route 9.

Authorities said they did not initially believe the death involved foul play, but when an autopsy was performed after his death, evidence of a possible injury that could have caused his death was found.

Police have said the man was not connected to the motel ownership or the tragedy that has involved the ownership stemming from the Oct. 6 limousine crash in Schoharie that killed 20 people. The Hussain family, which owns the motel, also owns Prestige Limousine, the company that operated the limousine.
