FORT ANN — A Vermont man faces multiple felonies after police responded to a disturbance Monday night on Route 149.
Matthew V. Guadagnino, 32, of Shrewsbury, Vermont, had a prior DWI conviction within 10 years, which elevated his DWI charge from Monday night to a felony. He was also driving without a license after it had been revoked for DWI convictions, police said, which was another felony.
He was also charged with failing to keep right and unlicensed operator, according to police.
Guadagnino was originally pulled over for a traffic violation, but was found to be intoxicated and later refused to take a breath test, police said. He was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 9:44 p.m.
Guadagnino was arraigned and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility for the lack of $2500 cash bail and has since been released after posting bail. The arrest was made by Deputy Robert Danko.
